how to Installing trailer wire harness to my jeep wrangler?

im installing a 4 way harness on my jeep wrangler but for some reason when i have it hooked up i pop fuses. when i connect the parking lights, there is a wire from each side, do i tie them together then run the two wires into the parking light wire on the harness. or what would be causing fuses to pop when i turn on my parking lights?
