I just got a set of reverse indiglo gauges for my 1997 ford explorer and im a little confused with installation. I have the gauge covers in place, but im stuck with wiring. I've read tutorials on how to install the gauge covers to the knob on the left hand side of the car, but i've tried that and it doesn't work because I don't use the knob to turn on my lights. I have a small "slider" on the bottom of my rear view mirror that turns on my lights as well, and it automatically turns it on when it gets dark, so I don't need to use that swtich. Where should I attach the power cord so it turns on when my lights turn on, and it gets the right amount of power? i am standing in my garage right now waiting for suggestions, so please help me out. I appreciate it.

Just remember that you are working on a car with airbags. Imagine that airbag in the steering wheel going off while your hunched over reaching inside the dashboard.
