Well the only way i can think of to answer your question is that the females do not carry there eggs. They lay the eggs in the males mouth which he fertalizes. If you have 2 fish theres a good chance that you might have a female and a male. So you can actually pry there mouths open and look inside to see if they have in eggs in there mouths. If this doesnt help and you really want to know the sex then you should probably take them to a pet store and ask them. Good luck.
