Okay, So I'm a 3rd Kyu Brown Belt in Shotokan Karate :P..and...well I suck..xD
I really enjoy karate and i really want to continue it, but I want to be "good" to continue it...I'm really sucky...well thats how i feel...but I'm willing to contribute enough time to train for my next test. I didn't choose to test on my last test because I was too scared too. My parents were really angry at me and I don't blame them, cuz I was disappointed in myself. So, my goal is to go to my next test and skip to the next belt! :] (i know it may seem imppossible, but I will achieve anything I want to achieve)...My next test is in 6 monthes and really need suggestions on how I should train my body..

My body is really out of shape, since I had been occupied with homework and I just have had the time to anything.

so anyways, how should i prepare/train my body for my next test? I really want to excel well in karate and get my black, since I've been doiing it for 7 years now. I enjoy it, but I also hate it sometimes at the same time ><
My teacher yellled at me one time infront of the whole class and it was really embarassing....but, I don't blame him for yelling at me..

So yesh, could anyone give me on any tips and things on what I should do to prepare for my test? I also need some major tips on flexiblity too ><..i feel that my flexibility abilities are shrinking every week >>.
Thankkksss!

Good timing, I was testing some brown belts last night.

First thing you have to do is put the past behind you and move forward. You cant be that bad if you're already a 3rd kyu.

You also should already know how to train since you've been taking karate for seven years. If your flexibility is not good, you need to stretch daily before and especially after your workouts.

You need to do your karate. My dojo has open workouts supervised by black belts who are there to help and answer questions. If you ask a black belt at your school for help, they should be more than happy to assist you. Work on doing each of your kata just like you were presenting it for a tournament. If you dedicate an extra hour each week to getting ready for your test, you'll be more then ready when the time comes.
