How to hook up rogers cable box?

i have a rogers digital receiver and jus moved into my appartment.... the peoplr up stairs have digital cable. the same line is through out the house we have it straight in the tv gettin basic cable.. but the box doesnt work. how do we get the box to work?
 
Call Rogers.

Digital cable receivers are "addressable". That means that your cable provider is able to control which premium channels you can and can't receive remotely. The authorization codes for each individual set top box all come down the same cable. It's obvious that the code for your box isn't being sent because it is not on their list of subscribers.

If you are in a legal apartment, what your neighbours get or don't get doesn't matter. You will have to call Rogers and get your apartment set up for digital cable, and your account moved to that apartment.
