Im trying to hook up my ps3 to the internet using an ethernet cable. When I got to wired connection, do I use easy or custom. Also it says something about a DHCP host name, DNS, and MTU. What is it, how do I find it, and do I need it? Any tips? I have a modem.

Thanks
i tried connecting my ps3 online using an ethernet cable an connecting it to my modem but it said it could not obtain the IP address. I also have high speed internet-Comcast

shouldn't need any of that. I assume you will be hooking it up to a router or some other device that supports DHCP. As long as you are wired and not wireless it should just be plugging it in and choosing the "Simple" or "easy" option. Should really come right up. Mine did ;)
