Okay so I'm a teen girl and I have a ton of clothes that I want to sell in a garage/yard sale. The only time I've ever had garage sales have been when my mom has done all the work and I just kind of sat out there. My mom says I can have one but I have to do all the work. I know to make signs and everything but I'm not sure how to price things. I remember at our last garage sale people would put a ton of stuff in a bag and ask how much for the whole bag. My mom was really good at pricing that but I'm not sure what to say. Obviously I won't be completely alone. My mom will watch me and stuff to make sure nothing bad happens but she's not going to help me take the stuff out or make the sales. I want to know when the best time is to have a garage sale. Like what month, what season, what time. Also, should I arrange stuff by the type of clothing (like pile of dresses, pile of shirts, pile of pants, etc) or does it not matter? What's the average price to sell a piece of clothing for? Do I put the stuff on blankets on the ground or on a table or something? And also where are good places to put signs (nothing that costs money though please). Thanks for any help!
I would be selling other stuff besides clothing. My parents have stuff they'll let me sell and I have other stuff too. Not really furniture but like decorative stuff. And some electronic stuff. Or should I pawn shop that?
