Ok.. I'll try to make this short. LOVE my inlaws - they live right up the street. They see our 17 month old at least once a week when we drop him off. They are great people and we are greatful for all they do... but...
My fil is obsesessed with my son. He used to text me/call me every day when he was first born wanting to babysit him. He's a little "off" and lacks the judgment I feel you need to watch a baby, so I've always been very leary of it. They would just pop over whenever - even once at 10pm to see the baby. I actually had a break down and asked them to please give us a little space in the begininng.
Now my son is enrolled in a gymboree class that I go to once a week (which is right across from his office). It's a way for me to get out of the house, bond with other mom's, and let my son socialize and play with other kids. He found out I was going there and just showed up at my last class to watch him. And now he wants to go every week and continues to ask what times I go.
Am I horrible to ask him to please not come. He knows I don't want him there... but he doesn't care. He just loves his grandson so much he just wants to see him. What should I do?
