How to go about getting a New Doctor???

I have been seeing this neurologist now for close to 1 year and he is a foreign guy and the medicine he is prescribing isn't helping with the pain at all.I am 16 and have a cyst on my brain so you could only begin to imagine the headaches I have everyday.And also I sent a homeschool paper the first 2 weeks in october and it took them a month too fill it out.Also they have been very rude to my family and my mom has filed a complaint because we have had several issues with the receiptionists.Does anybody know how to go about seeing another doctor when you are still getting medicine from him if so plz reply to this message.I don't want to get flagged thinking I'm trying to get more medicine than supposed to.My next doctors appointment is in december and i just saw him october 16th but I don't think I can wait untill then.
 
Thanks I am now considering finding a new doctor but I will bring the medications up there when I see him just to be clear.Should I also tell my other doctor that I won't be seeing him anymore??
 
You should contact the old doctor for a copy of your file. You just call the office and ask for a copy and when you can pick it up. They have to give you a copy - they may charge you but they have to do it. They will get the idea you are going to see someone else...but if they ask, just tell them yes, you are getting a second opinion.
 
Yeah I'm going to get that too, also should I tell my doctor I'm seeing now that I'm going to get a second opinion.One more thing if there are any more steps let me know.I just went up to CVS Pharmacy(Which is my local Pharmacy)and told them to disable the Darvocet which was on automatic refill.Is was that the right thing to do because I don't want to go see another doctor and he give me a prescription and they think I'm doctor hunting.How do I make sure.Srry I do have trust issues with people alot.
