How to get to the Olympics?

My dream is to go to the Olympics for swimming....but I don't know how to get there. Does anyone know any good ways to get there? I'm working on getting a coach right now and I'm also doing a lot to improve my times...anything else?
 
Ones needs a lot of innate talent. I knew someone who finished fourth in the US Olympic trails and was a alternate on the Olympic team.
