How to get the ~ symbol on HTC Mytouch 3g?

So I just purchased a t-mobile Mytouch 3g and the wifi server I want to log into has the ~ symbol in its name. Since it is a hidden server, I need to manually type in the name, but when I clicked on the "?123" button on my keyboard, I couldn't find this symbol. How can I type this symbol on my phone?
