i seperated from my husband of 20 years and the apt. would only give me a 9 month lease. i am 4 months in and through hard work, we want to get back together- we are not divorced, only my name is on the lease. He still resides in a house we had rented of which my name is also on that lease. What is the best way to approach the complex. I know I asked about this when i moved in and they said something about a 60 day notice and $1K plus the rental amounts for each month it's not rented or something till the lease is up? I am not clear and yes, i will read my lease again to see if i can make heads or tales. I was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer and want to be with my kids and husband for sure, so staying it out of the question for me at this point. unfortunately, i know it;s a contract, i have an obligation and it;s a corporate run complex- so i am just wondering if there are ever exceptions made due to illness or family issues?
