Hey everyone I'm in a very difficult financial situation. I'm a college student and I pay my own bills (rent, utilities) and I pay for my food and other things. I've run into a huge problem though. I am now having difficulty keeping up with my bills. I have a traffic ticket that's 90...I have to pay my car insurance before I lose coverage...I have to pay my rent...and I owe my school money for a loan I took out to buy my books. I have a job and I'm putting in as many hours as I can but these are situations where I need the money immediately and I can't wait a couple paychecks from now to pay them. My credit is pretty bad because my first year of college I had to take out a loan to help pay for some emergency things (I have no assistance from my family) and I had problems paying that back (it's paid back now but it still shows up bad on my credit). I doubt I'll be approved for a good credit card. I really don't know what to do. I'm thinking I'll pay the traffic ticket, then the insurance and talk to my landlord about being a couple weeks late on the rent but this is all very overwhelming for me while having to maintain my grades. Any suggestions as to how to get over this financial slump? (and yes, I'm aware I could have made better decisions in the past financially but it's difficult adjusting to being thrown into the "real world" with no support)
