how to get my phone to get colorful wallpapers when I send it to my phone?

Whenever I send a picture from a website, my phone doesn't get it in color. and it's not the website, because when i sent wallpapers to my old phone, it used to get colorful images. is there anyway to fix this? Thanks!! :)
