ok, so heres the deal, My parents have lost many cats to a road near our house and now I have a new cat, and she loves being outdoors, we shut the kitchen doors at night so they cant go out then but what about at the daytime? and my dad wont let me keep her in when she wants tto go out! help! what do i do?!?!

I would suggest neutering :) That makes cats much calmer and they prefer to stay close to home. My friend, who lives right next to a road, got both of her cats done and they love being inside :)

You should get her some toys to play with inside, give her canned food inside, and/or give her treats when she is inside.

Wow, that's a challenge.
I know that many cats love being indoors, but then it's also true that many cats have
an adventurous side and love to travel.

Is it possible to chain the cat to a very very long leash, and that way it will be able to go
partially outside, but not all the way?>

Maybe if you give the cat another cat companion then it won't get bored, and then
you'll end up with 2 indoor cats.

I know that certain wild cats (or feral cats) are very well adapted to the outdoors,
as indeed I know 4 feral cats that are superbly adapted to the outdoors.

But for you, I recommend keeping the cat indoors, for its safety.
