Well, I've always been really shy around guys. I'm 17 and I've never had a boyfriend or been kissed or anything. For maybe a year or so I've really liked this guy, and he's gotten to be pretty much all I think about, recently. We have the same group of close friends, but the thing is we never used to get along. I don't know, we had completely different views and opinions on anything, from really stupid trivial stuff to meaningful serious things. Anyway, over the last 6 months or a year we've stopped arguing so much, we can hold a civil conversation fine and get along okay. But, it's still quite awkward when we are talking alone, without the rest of the group. I have no idea whether he feels the same and I don't want to embarrass myself.
How can I gain confidence around guys in general? I barely talk to other guys, I try but I just go all quiet and reserved and barely say anything, except for with a select few guys who I know really well. And, how do I approach this guy? I really don't have the confidence to just ask him out, not going to happen. What are some things that he could take as big hints if he felt the same without making it too obvious if he wasn't looking for a sign?
Thanks all.
