How to get Jeep to help me out with parts that should be recalled?

I'm not very good at haggling and unfortunately tend to be the "nice guy". A valve spring broke on my '02 Liberty and after doing some research I found this to be a common problem.

How can I work with Jeep to get some kind of help from them? Some people have reported having to replace a valve spring every year.
 
I didn't see any recalls or tsb's about it. Try filing a complaint with the NHTSA. I've never done it but it can't hurt.
 
call chrysler toll free number and then contact jeep regional service manager for your region or check chrysler web site for recalls and also check with your local dealership's service manager for any and all recalls affecting your year,model jeep.
