How to get insurance?

OK so I have an old phone and I want to get insurance on my phone. They have told me that I can only get insurance within 15 days of activating the phone. How do I get insurance other wise?
 
That is right on their part. I think the only way that you could get insurance at this point is to include it with your home owners insurance if you have that. I am not sure of any other way. I have had verizon since 01 and I have never had insurance and gotten phones replaced if something has happened. Just dont drop it in water lol.
