How to get him to be willing to try "naughtier" things in bed?

I like very mild bondage, like I'd love if he tied me up or spanked me or called me dirty names as well as be willing to try those things among others; and I told him that I'd love if he did that to me, but he tried once and stopped after halfway and thought it was too awkward and was not his style at all.
