how to get album art on itunes?

so my friend made this mix song for me, and it has a bunch of different songs sped up and put together, and it has a lot of sound effects in it. I know how to get album art for a normal song, but i dont understand to set is as a picture of me and her as the album cover, i tried clicking and dragging from "my pictures" onto itunes, but that didn't work, and i tried copy and pasting, but the paste option never showed up. please help me!

Select the song in iTunes and then select File > Get Info. In the ensuing screen you will see a place for album artwork. Drag your artwork into the space provided (or use the button to add). Please note that your artwork must be in the proper format, and if it's sized oddly, it will be resized with possibly unexpected results.
