Okay so i recently switched from my Verizon ISP which provided me a wireless modem where i didn't need to use a cable if i had a notebook pc but at the time i had a desktop so i didn't really need the wireless signal. But now i got a notebook but i recently switched to Optimum Online (A Northeast ISP) and the modem them gave me doesn't have a wireless signal antenna so i can't connect without having to plug that phone line thing into the side of my laptop. I want to be able to enjoy my new laptop without having to be confined to sitting at a desk, maybe take it to my room at night to finish research papers at last minutes or stuff like that. so what would be the best option for me? i was reading about wireless routers....would this give me the desired result? and do i need 2 computers for this?
also what other options do i have....i dont think my isp has wireless modems...
