How to get a small business start up grant?

I need some help on gov/state grants I am interested in starting a small business. I can not find any info on small business grants and how would i apply for one i am thinking that it will be a project grant not sure though and i am finding stuff on non-profit but i want to make a profit business so any info will be very help full thanks
