How to get a discreet diagnosis for Asp etc.?

I'm a teen with a strong suspicion that I have Aspergers' or other autism-spectrum disorder. How strong? I have only had really close friends through 2.5 years of middle school. I'm about to finish high school with none. I'm friendly, I just to really lack an ability to initiate new friendships. (I moved after middle school)

Is there a way to discreetly confirm I have something? I'm too embarrassed to tell my mom to take me to the psychologist/etc. I know it's the best way, though I honestly would rather wait until I go to college to see a professional alone.

if your really concerned about it tell ur mom

if your wanna wait, then wait.

idk much about that tho, my ex boyfriend had that i think....

Your question implies high sensitivity to emotionality, for example, "I am too embarrassed to tell my mom," "I am friendly," using the term "discreetly". You may be low on the spectrum and your school counselor should be able to direct you to an appropriate examiner, but most Aspergers folks would not recognize nor use the emotionality terms you have here. Autism implies inability or lack of awareness to social signals, facial features, body language and feelings as they relate to others.
