Hey there.
I am 13 years old, and I have done many short stories on my laptop, all around 60-100 pages long. I have been wanting for a while, to get some of my better stories, published. I have no idea how to do this. I have heard things about needing to send a letter to publishers trying to get their attention, and then if they want to, they will look at your book, then you carry on from there. I am happy to go through whatever amount of paper work that is given, but I do NOT want to do this publishing online, I want to send things by mail ect. So, if I send letters to publishers, where do I find the names, addresses ect of these publishers? I have heard real authors don't pay to get their books published, I cannot afford to pay to get my book published. If anyone can help me with this question, It would be much appreciated. I don't know if this matters or not to helping get a book published, but I live in New Zealand.
