How to format an "IMATION HDMI MEDIA PRO HDD" 500GB?

As I thought my media player HDD would've affected by virus, I formatted it. But after formatting it is not playing the media on the TV. It stays at "LOADING" and not moving further when connected to TV.

But it is recognizing when connected to computer.

Is there any special way to format the Media HDDs.

Please help.
