How to fix up an old Toyota 4x4?

I'm about to buy an old 1991 Toyota pickup. 4x4, 5 speed, 4C engine. The engine is in great shape (Duh Toyota). The only things wrong with it are the dents and rust spots in the body. Someone was very rough with the outside of this truck. What's the best way to try and make it look new again? Body shop, do it myself? Most of the dents and rust are on the bed, should I buy a new bed for it or one that's not been used so much? I just need tips and opinions. Thanks!!!
