So about 6 months or even longer ago I dyed my hair black. I tried waiting until my natural color [medium ash brown] came back, but my hair stayed black. I decided to buy some hair dye in a box. I was going to go a dark auburn. When I dyed my hair, starting from my roots to about 2 inches down, my hair was a light, light almost orange-ish color, and the rest of my hair stayed black. i went to a professional who then made my hair look a little better, but my roots are still a little lighter than the rest of my hair. I need my hair to be one shade of auburn, not four shades. Because, since i've gotten my hair dyed by a pro, my roots are starting to grow out! so now, right at my roots, it is my natural brown color, then an orangey red, and then a dark auburn, and the ends are black. i cant afford to spend another $85 on a pro! any suggestions?
