How to fix Goopy Nail Polish?

I have a bunch of nail polish I can't use because whenever I try to put it on it spreads unevenly and looks really bad. I don't know how to fix this! Mabey making it a little thinner, Idk any suggestions?
 
s/o once told me to add nail polish remover to the bottle and then shake it, but i never tried it.it might work though, if ur gonna throw it out anyway, u may as well try
 
There are people that put nail polish remover in by the drop, then roll the bottle in their hands, and thin it out. I've tried this but it's not supposed to be realyl good for the nail polish. THe better option is to but nail polish thinner (around $2.50) and properly apply it into the bottle.
