...Dual subs? I recently purchased a Dodge Charger and I wanted a little more bass in my audio system. I did not want to spend too much money so I went to best buy and got an Alpine amp and Dual subs. I got them installed with the stock cd deck and car speakers. When I tested them out they seemed ok... I was satisfied with how they sounded. Not too impressed but they were ok.
However, after about 3 days I made a discovery. When I played my music with the sub turned off and the music up loud the car speakers were distorting the bass. Without the sub powered on, the car system sounds the exact same as before with the stock speakers struggling to put out bass and sounding pretty crappy. When I put the sub back on I realised that that was the problem the whole time that was making it sound bad.
Basically, I need a solution that would allow me to play my music at a high volume, like over 30, and turn the bass down in the car speakers but not the sub. Is there a way to separate them?
