How to fix a serpentine belt on an 86 buick lesabre?

I have the belt all fed through and found the tension wheel, but no matter what I do, I cannot get the thing to move. Do I need to remove the nut on the idle wheel? This is my first time fixing this part and if anyone has done this before or really knows how it would be nice to know what you did. Please no stupid answers and no B.S. I need real know how.
