How to fix a dashboard? Pontiac Firebird?

Is there a process to undergo so I can fix the dashboard on a 1997 Pontiac Trans Am? Its cracking all over, where would I find a replacement? Is it something I can fix myself? Do I need to take it to a shop? Is it a simple fix? Im tired of always seeing trans ams and firebirds with cracked dashes, so ill just bite the bullet and buy one, and fix the dash myself if possible.

That's a big job. Definitely not a simple job to put in a new dash. Plus, a new dash is likely more than $1000 (if it's even available). How about make some kind of cover for it?

You might find a dash for the car in a junk yard. More than likely, you'll need to order a new one. There are a lot of parts areas on the internet. You'll need someone with dash knowledge to remove the old and put in the new. It is quite a job to do so. All of your gauges need to go into the replacement.
