How To Fit Induction Kit On Ford Focus 2.0 Petrol?

Hi everyone, I have just bought a ford focus 2.0 (1999 model) and upgraded from a 1.6 Tigra and I have got to say there is definitely a difference in power. I love my new car, I have fitted an air filter before both on my Tigra and on my previous car being a corsa. I went to fit one on my Focus today and realised that there are a few more pipes and wires than my last two cars... The wires may not matter too much as they connect to the beginning to the air intake pipe and so I shouldn't need to replace or remove anything there. There is a pipe coming from the front of the bonnet (to filter air into the engine compartment from outside) which connects to the underside of the air filter, a pipe coming from the side of the air filter to the side of the engine and then the main pipe coming from the back of the air filter going into the back of the engine (the one I am familiar with). Could someone please explain what I have to do with this extra pipe, what its for and what kind of air induction kit I will need to get the best performance? I am not fussed about getting a K&N as its just a name in the end, all it is is a cone. I am wondering if that extra pipe is vital more than anything and what its purpose is... Thank you.
