I am trying to find my birth father. His name is David Snow and he was a mechanic in the army. He was stationed in fort briggs in I believe 1991 in the 82nd division. My birth mom was not sure on that, but believed the number was correct. He was dishonorably dismissed for getting my mother pregnant. He is about 39 now, maybe born in 1970, and was about 20 when he got my mom pregnant. He was married but his wife filed for a divorce while he was in Saudi Arabia in 1991. On his uniform it said snow man. That is the only picture that I have of him. I know he lived off base in a trailor house when my mom was with him. My knowledge is limited. His family was from Pensylvannia to my mother's knowledge and his brother, either his twin, or a twin of a siblings, died of spinabifida. If anyone could give me any information that could help I would really appreciate it. I have found my birthmom by my birth brother contacting me and putting me in contact with my mother. I would love some help. Thanks.

This is a very difficult question to answer. Your mother is very close but there are a few things that need correcting. I think your mother is probably referring to Ft Bragg. It is in North Carolina and that is where the 82nd Airborne Division is stationed. Also, if his uniform said Snowman, then that is most likely his last name, not Snow as you stated. Your best bet would be to hire a private investigator, while this can be very expensive it is probably the best course of action that will yield the best and fastest results. Also, all military records are sent to St Louis, Missouri after a person is discharged and stored there. However, once records go to St Louis they are extraordinarily difficult to have released. If you decide to hire a PI then they can give you more information on how to obtain the military records, they should contain a lot of the information you need to know about his mother, father, place of birth, social security number, and so on. Good luck with your search.
