In January I called Verizon and told them to shut off my cell phone, thus charging me the deactivation fee. Told them to shut it off right then and there. I went to sleep and then next day my phone is still on because I got a call. So I call Verizon again and got a new person, asked her why my phone was still on. She said they were not planning on shutting it off until February 2, to charge me another bill. I told her to shut the damn phone off today, no bills, now. She does.
They only bill me for $192 and said that is the last I will see of them. I call and charged it through the phone on a debit card. They charged me $135 and I asked if that was it and the lady told me yes. No more.
A month later I received a bill for $57. This is a load of bullshit. They lied to me, twice. People fight this all the time. Please someone help. As it is, lost my job because I had a bunch of emergency surgeries, so now I have medical debt and no income. To top it off, they told me they could not wave any bills unless I was "dead" or "dying".
There is wrong beyond reason. Please help.
