Our family is having a friendly competition to get in shape. We are trying to figure out a way to fairly judge our progress. We cant do weight loss because not all of us need to lose weight... we cant do BMI because it isnt accurate or fair for certain body types. For example.. my sister and I are the same weight, but I am 5 inches shorter and our body types are completely different. My step brother is skinny and just wants to bulk up in a good way...Any suggestions on how to fairly and accurately keep track of our progress in a way that fits multiple people with different body types?
We are thinking about a points system of some sort where we have a couple of categories (ex: 2 mile run, X amount of pushups etc..) and basing on average for each persons age, weight, height etc. Then also having points for weight loss, measurements and muscle mass. Any suggestions on different categories we could try or websites to help us figure out a "test" of sorts to get us started? Not sure how to measure muscle mass either....
