How To Erase Me History?

when i go to google.com and type something into the search bar, something i previously searched will pop up below the search bar. i'm sorry if this is kind of vague, but it's hard to explain =/ this also happens when i log into facebook.

please help?
i tried erasing my cookies and everything but that doesn't work.
