how to download to sd card isted of using phone memory please help

as soon as i download something or take to many pictures phone says no more space but my sd card has available space of 7.4 gb plasse anyone help me how can i download to sd card istaed of phone Thank you in advance
 
If your phone is still on eclair upgrade to froyo In froyo "manage applications" can move apps, there's also apps in market to help that (froyo upwards).
