how to downgrade from 4.5 os to 4.2 to exchange 8320??

I have tried a lot of different things to downgrade os back to original 4.2 so that I can do an exchange with T-Mobile on my 8320, but I can't seem to be able to do it...Please help????? Desperate in So Cal..
 
First you must download and install the 4.2 OS. Then go and delete the vendor .xlm from the 4.5 OS, then DM should see the 4.2 If not then you might have to do a wipe and install the 4.2 OS from scratch. http://blackberryforums.rabroad.com/showthread.php?t=33012&page=3 you can read this thread.
 
thanks, I have 4.5 still installed...when I try to delete, it says not found??? I'm so confused and don't want t mobile to charge me for this exchange because I have it at 4.5 when I return it...I have doc appointments..will try again when I get back...thanks everyone, if you know anything else that can help me, I really appreciate it...
 
If it's installed you'll find it with Control Panel>Add Remove Programs: in that list. If it's not in the list, it's not installed - if it is, it is. Look under "Blackberry"
