How to do this cell phone prank?

my friends before have done this prank to this one kid before...
they went to some website...and somehow sent a text to someone as if someone else sent it
for example...John and Steve are the pranksters...they pretend to send a text to Sidney. Sidney gets a text saying "Hey whats up hottie" by Jordan. Like the number on her phone says that its this Jordan kid...but really its John and Steve. So shes thinking this Jordan kid is texting her...
i just wanna know how to do this.
i hope someone knows what im talking about here lol
 
oh hell yeah ive done this plenty of times......okay heres what you do:

So me and my buddy mike met this guy named carl so we decided to follow carl home.
We watched from a window as he laid down for bed and fell asleep
once asleep we sneak into the house and inject carl with a high concentrate animal stabilizer
So now that carl is half dead and half asleep
we find his blackberry we find his gf's phone number and we begin to text her as if we were carl
we arrange for mary ( carl's gf ) to meet carl by a pay phone later that nite.
She agrees and when she shows up to the pay phone later on that nite
ME AND MIKE RUN UP WEARING HELLO KITTY MASKS AND EXPOSE OURSELVES TO HER.
