My son just turned 4 yesterday and for a while now, maybe a year, he always whines. When he wakes up in the morning he screams for me, "MOM MOM" and I come in and give him a hug and tell him it's time to get up and he says "NOO" and he refuses to get dressed. He asks me to carry him everywhere, to get him dressed, when I know he can do all of these things. Hes basically acting like a 1 year old!
And when he whines over and over, do I ignore it? I give him warnings but nothing works. Is ignoring the right thing to do?
Also, anyone who is reading this, the last week he just won't eat. Even if favorite food, he says he doesn't like it, when I know he does, he never eats! He's usually 35 pounds but now he's 33. He active but him not eating worries me. I try to play and make it a game, or eat with him or talk to him but he just sits there.
And he's always sad, saying he had a bad day at school when I know he didn't, when I know he was happy and having a good time.
Sorry, so many things, but I'm lost.
k the ignoring thing, right now im staying with someone and they can't stand to hear him cry when I ignore him, so I feel like I can't ignore him because it bothers them... what do I do?
