My alarm goes off every time i open or close the door and the lights keep flashing for a long time afterward, putting the key in the ignition doesn't work. I've also tried pulling out the fuse for the car alarm, but it doesn't stop it and it disables other accessories in my car. The remote should turn it off but it doesn't work either. When i first bought the car the i had this problem, but i took the remote away and it stopped for a while but started up again recently. a while ago water got trapped in the hood and i think it may have damaged something though i'm not sure what . My car alarm is a factory alarm, meaning it isn't a custom sound the horn just goes off and the lights flash. please give me any advice on how to turn off my car alarm or at least a suggestion what could be wrong with it, please please.
