BlackBerry Internet Service 1.8 requires Rogers email account holders to set a forwarding rule to the BlackBerry email account instead of integrating the Rogers email account. BlackBerry Internet Service 2.0 allows Rogers email account holders to integrate the Rogers email account with the BlackBerry Internet Service account.
BlackBerry device users whose service provider has upgraded the BlackBerry Internet Service from version 1.8 to version 2.0 might receive duplicate copies of messages on the BlackBerry device. This occurs if the password for the Rogers account was changed before the BlackBerry Internet Service account was upgraded from BlackBerry Internet Service 1.8 to 2.0. After the upgrade, a standard POP3 integration is applied to the account but the forwarding rule is retained, which causes a second copy of each message to be delivered.
To stop receiving duplicate messages on the BlackBerry device, turn off the forwarding rule:Log in to your Rogers email account.Click My Account on the top left of the screen.Verify your password if you are prompted. On the page shown below, select Off under RIM Forwarding. The changes are saved automatically.
