My husband was leaving for work the other morning. His 1997 Chevrolet s10 started up just fine. He let it idle for a while to clean off the windows with no problems. When he got to the stop sign up the street from our house, it made a loud "boom" sound and started "hissing". He returned home and left it setting the rest of the day.
At first he thought he might have a blown gasket, but was told that he would not have been able to drive it home if that occurred. The radiator was replaced a year ago, but the ac has not worked since. Today, we replaced the water pump which did not help. Any suggestion?
