I recently bought a 1979 Honda XR 500, how do I tell for certain its an XR and not the XL? all it says on the frame tag is 1979 Honda. I see things that make me think its an XR, and some things that make me think it may be an XL, I'm only curious because the XR is worth some decent money. And I have no idea what the oem paint and decals were? it looks like a 4 year old painted it black, so I wanna restore it as close as I can.
