How to deal with the Nokia C3-01 touch and type?

Today on the 22 January 2011 I bought the "New" Nokia C3-01 (touch and type). Well I started the phone and wanted to send (Bluetooth) a ring tone from my laptop into the phone. Apparently It failed as the phone has some kind of a password that is "unknown". The phone was bought from Dick Smith from the Unlocked Zone. They have told me that if anything is wrong with the phone we have a 1 year warranty which I accepted. I also asked what about if I don't like the phone can I bring it back. Unfortunately they said once it goes out of the store we cannot take it back as it doesn't sell well.
Please help with the Bluetooth problem as I said I can't take it back
