hahahaha makes sens which store do you work at rogerswireless ? if youre in ottawa ill come see u lol

Dude, you're a genius! I called Retentions and told them that my wife (exaggeration--she's my gf) was going back to school (also exaggeration--she's in school!) After some hemming and hawing I got the following:

$20 Comm. Value Pack for free on gf's line;
$15 Personal Email for Blackberry for free on my line;
Free Early Evening Calling at 5pm on both lines;
400 Daytime Minutes Pooled (instead of 200);
My 5 on Each Line for $10.00 (instead of $20);

So our bill will be:

$40 - Family Plan plus $10 My 5 plus SAF (x2) plus 911 Fee (x2) plus taxes.

Instead of paying $121.93 a month we'll be paying $73.34! That's Almost $50 a month!

hehe glad i could be of help again lol
anyways thanks for today by the way everything went well in the end his wife transfered me money

I feel sorry about the $15 personal email as it is worth as much as a bag full of urine. it doesn't let you browse the web whatsoever only gets you email and bb messenger it locks you out of everthing else the blackberry has to offer and yes there are many things it has to offer. you should be calling them back to get the $25 data pack with 4mb if the reason you wanted it was for email and messenger you can still get 100-200 emails (PER DAY) with 4 mb the $15 is worthless and your overpaying for something you get hardly any use out of. I'm sorry I'm going off on this package but I work for the company and I wish Rogers never brought this plan to light as it doesn't do anything for you. The only reason Rogers released it was Telus is offering it as well.

haha thats cuz u never read my tutorial (in my sig) on how to use that plan to get unlimited browsing and other stuff

Rogers actually released the alternative $15 BB data plan. For $15 you get 1.5mb of data.

Yeah I know I sell the damn thing and yet only 1.5 mb that is rediculus to think anyone would ever think this is enough data for a whole month of usage

I WISH! I'm an employee and called them before and they actually said "you're an employee, you should know we can't do that". Do you have the ROGEMP tag on your account with the half-off discount?

And yeah, we do have Retention's number in the store but we are very selective about who we give it to. Besides, all it takes is telling the main customer service number that you want to talk to the retention department and they'll transfer the customer right there anyway. It's not really a "special" number you've got there.

And that's also not true about family plans. I just upgraded two at once the other day. They changed that awhile ago.

The answer is simple. With the $15 1.5MB plan you get 1.5MB data for emails and browsing and third party applications, with all data over and above 1.5MB subject to "overage protection" (http://your.rogers.com/business/wireless/services/dataoverageprotection.asp)

The $15 unlimited email plan gives you exactly that: unlimited e-mail and attachments. You can burn through 300MB (as proven on howardforums) and they don't care. What is not widely known is what Raxoren has set out in his Tutorial--that some third party applications (e.g. Opera Mini) can piggy-back on the unlimited plan. This only works for some people however.

so if i just wanted my berry for pin-to-pin (blackberry messenger) action and nothing else...
which would be a better plan for me data wise?

I would recommend the 15 unlimited plan then, since Pin messaging counts as data, you don't have to worry about going over 1.5mb, and you have the option of the opera loophole.
