If you are stuck on a ROM you don't like (t-mobile/asian carrier etc.) you can use this how to to create a gold card to bypass the CID checks so you can downgrade and root your Hero.

Whats the method to write ROM to a Qtek PH10b strucked in boot loader mode (Serial /USB) ? Is it the same way as you explained?
