I want to dye my hair blue, but my parents (mainly my dad) think that it's stupid and won't let me. I recently got into shorter hair and I had to practically beg to be able to get it cut. It's just above my shoulders, but it's in a stacked, layered bob style.
My big argument right now is that I should be able to do it now, to get it out of my system while I'm still a teenager, rather than wait until I'm an adult when I need to look professional. Does this sound reasonable? What else can I say?

Honestly, I just want to do it to.. Do it. I think it's cool. I only want to do it once, I'm not going to keep dying it over and over again.
