I am caucasian (light skin, freckles, red/brown hair, hazel eyes) and my husband is hisanic (black hair, brown eyes, medium to dark olive skin). Everyone we knew simply assumed that our children would have his darker coloring. Howver, when they were born they simply came out looking very much like me. They have red/brown hair and green or hazel eyes and very light skin. She has always liked me, but now she treats me differently and treats our kids differently than her other grandkids. She even told one of her daughters that she didnt think that the twins were really her grandkids. How can I convince her that they are actually our kids?

Same thing happened to me but the kids do have traces of the Asian, dominant gene... they got my white girl traits all the way. Start pointing out the hispanic traits in the kids... things that make them like their grandparents so you get some flattery in there too. "Oh he has his grandfather's nose." Or, "Look at that smile it's just like Grandma's..."
