How to convince my mom to let me get fish?

So I used to have fish who lived in a fish bowl and my mom really hated it. Me and my sister had a bowl-cleaning thing worked out where i would clean it, then she would clean it the next time, and so on. Problem was, she sometimes wouldn't fulfill her side of the agreement and so sometimes the bowl stunk. Because it didn't have any kind of lid or anything, water would occasionally splash out of the bowl. Well, now I really want to get a little fish tank, like the tiny ones that only hold like a few tetra. My friend had one once and it was always nice and clean and didn't stink and never splashed out because tanks have lids etc. I told my mom about these pros and she still wouldn't listen. She just said, "I really really REALLY don't like fish." So I need some good things about fish tanks that bowls don't have, so i can convince my mom to let me get another fish. Thanks so much :D

oreo, i remember u answering a question about fish when you didnt have fish...

tell her that it wont smell, the fish will look better, and it will be out of her way and she will never have to deal with it.
 
Start out by asking for a dog. I mean, like you REALLY want a dog.

When she turns you down:

Start asking about a cat. If you can't have a dog you should at LEAST be able to get a cat.

When she says no:

Well crap ma, can I just get a fish? Just one little fish? Please.

If that doesn't work. Sorry. You may just be out of luck.
 
Tell them you'll definitely keep the tank clean, and do some research on what kind of fish you should have and why. Make a little presentation, and promise to do laundry and dishes for a month as payment for the fishy. (oh, and no whining-be adult about it:)) Hope this helps!
